Today’s Daily Affirmation of Becoming

There comes a point in every journey where you realize that not everyone deserves a front‑row seat to your becoming. People will form opinions based on fragments, assumptions, and the half‑stories they’ve pieced together. And if you’re not careful, their noise becomes a weight — one that slows your growth, dims your clarity, and distracts you from the quiet work happening within.
But becoming requires a different kind of discipline. It asks you to tune out the echoes of misunderstanding and tune into the truth of who you are. It asks you to trust the parts of your story that others can’t see yet. It asks you to keep moving, even when the world thinks it already knows your ending.
Today’s affirmation is simple: your evolution is not up for public approval. Growth is personal. Healing is private. And transformation rarely looks like what others expect.
As I continue building the world of these characters — from I Have a Dream, But It’s Mine to As I Stand — I’m reminded that every story in this trilogy is rooted in that same truth.
And now, the journey continues.
On July 4th, the next chapter arrives:
Before I Was Him — a story about identity, transformation, and the courage it takes to rise beyond the versions of yourself that others tried to define.
Let today’s picture — the first two books of the trilogy — be a reminder that every chapter of your life is building toward something deeper. Something real. Something only you can claim.
Keep becoming. Quietly. Boldly. Unapologetically.
